Konstantinos Balomenos was born in Athens in 1968. In 1992 was awarded with a Bachelor of Management and Economics with thesis topic: “Business Forecasting” of Chalkida Technological Educational Institute. He was also awarded with a Bachelor – Faculty of International and European Studies (1997 – 2001) of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.

Furthermore, he was awarded a Master of Science (MSc) on Marketing & Communication with thesis topic: “Corporate Crisis Management” (2002 – 2004) in Athens University of Economics and Business. From 2010 up to now, he is a PhD Candidate on Crisis Management (thesis topic: “The role of Communication on Crisis Management Strategy for the solution of International Crises”) in the University of Piraeus, Faculty of International and European Studies.

From 1990 to 1993 he worked as a sales representative to CITIZEN SA, in 1993 worked as an assistant accountant to Kilindromiloi LOULI SA and from 1994 to 1997 worked as sales manager in Publication Companies such as “Psychogios SA” and “Escape SA” (1997 – 2000). He also worked at SK Consulting Corporation as a Communication Consultant and Head Chief of the Crisis Management Department. From 2003 to 2012 he had been Communication Consultant to the member of Greek Parliament Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis (at the moment Minister of administrative reform) and Consultant and Collaborator of the ex Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Dora Bakoyannis at the greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Moreover, from 2007 up to now, he is tutor at the fields of Public Relations, Crisis Management and Crisis Communication & Media Training and from 2012 up to now, he is tutor on Negotiations at the Public Institute of Professional Education (Glyfada). From 2009 to 2010 he had been Administrative Member at the Independent Authority of Private Insurance Supervisory Committee.

From 2010 onwards, he is Communication Consultant of the ex PM, Mr. Konstantinos Mitsotakis at his office in the Greek Parliament. Finally, from 2013 he is Course Tutor at the distance, e – learning program – Course: “Crisis Management and Communication” at the University of Piraeus in Faculty of Economics.

He is a member of ECREA (European Communication Research and Education Association), as well as General Secretary of the Greek Consumers’ Institute (INKA) and ex General Secretary of the Federal of Greek NGos.
